Welfare A sensitive subject whether you use it, abuse it or have enough pride to avoid it. I believe welfare, no matter what form that may be offered, should not be abused and our government should hire more investigators to seek out all people who fraud the "system" and prosecute these people to highest possible level. Our government has all the many citizens of the US who are taxpayers who can be the eyes and ears and assist in prosecuting these abusers. These people are just as bad as sexual predators. I guess one of the main issues is bringing children into this world and the only thought is "our government will pay for these children. Prenatal and post natal care, costs for the birth and care for the child after it is born. Spread those legs ladies because if you accidentally (or intentionally) get pregnant, the good citizens of the USA is going to pay for that little one to be born. What is sad is that many of these government paid for children are brought into this world not wanted and suffer abuse, neglect and even death. There are many people on "Welfare" who live better than many who are not. These people know all the many ways to keep turning to the tax payers (government) to get anything they can. Their antennas are always up for anything "free" they can get. This is all at the expense of the honest and hard working tax payers. When the time comes for the honest people to ask for some kind of assistance at some time in their life, they are greeted with all kinds of barriers. They do not know how to "work the system" so in many cases, they are denied. Just in the case any honest people of this great nation, the USA, may believe that in some time in their life they may need tax payer (government) assistance, I suggest you become friends with a welfare abuser so you can learn how to "work the system". Here comes Hurricane Ike (for example). Those on welfare have those antennas up for anything they can get "free" from the tax payers (government). First of all, anything the tax payers (government) gives out should be deducted from the tax return each year. Did you miss some time from work because of Ike? Why not file for unemployment? Why not file for the two months of food stamps? Why not try to get a refund on that generator and gas you bought? If you had money to buy that generator, then you could run a refrigerator to keep your food fresh. You had the generator to run a life supporting machine. I surely hope that our tax payers (government) really scrutinizes what these abusers are filing for and kicks them in the ass!!!! Some people believe that their home was not livable because they had no electric and/or water. There were all kinds of food, water and ice available for any and all people to survive. Many people could not afford a generator much less the gas to run it. A person would have to find the gas to put in it. Although many people had alternatives to surviving this crisis, they chose to give a miserable story to the government so they could get any freebie they could. Just in my little world of family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances, I saw both sides of things. Those that do not turn to the taxpayers (government) for those freebies and those that have those antennas up for anything they could get. I see in my little world where several people can afford the insurance offered by the company BUT are on welfare. IF they pay for this insurance, they can't have all of those luxuries they THINK they need. Oh my gosh, they can't have their nails or hair done! They can't have all those up to date gadgets! They won't be able to buy gifts for all of their nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. What is amazing is that these people are PROUD they use the tax payers money to live on. Many of these people are tax payers themselves. The thing is that they will never pay enough taxes in their lifetime to pay for the support they are receiving. I believe tax payer (government) assistance should be a temporary means of support and not something to raise children on. Not only this, parents should not be teaching their children to fraud the government. These people are criminals and should be prosecuted to the highest level possible. What is PRIDE?
When I was growing up, there were not all of these government assistance programs. People made the best for themselves with what they had. People would work several jobs to make ends meet. People were conservative. Sure, there should be government assistance to those really in need. But the entire welfare system has gotten out of control. Too many healthy and normal people are abusing "the system" and they need to be stopped. How can this be done? By reporting the people YOU know! We all know of someone on welfare and if we don't report the abusers, our hard earned tax money continues to spent on these people. What is WELFARE? Welfare (financial aid), financial assistance paid by taxpayers to people who are unable to support themselves. Unable to support themselves? There are so many who ARE able but give some sad story (yes, even lie) as to why they are UNABLE. There are many women who claim they accidentally got pregnant and have no idea who the father is. It is time to make these women responsible for spreading their legs so freely. I know for a fact of many women who know exactly who the father is and in fact, are living with the father. They won't get married (which is the right thing to do). These women have the best of two worlds. The tax payers pay for their child (children) and so does the father(s). I really get unnerved when I hear parents referred to as "my baby's mother or my baby's father". This means the "baby" has parents that are not married to each other. Why get married anyways? Morals and values don't mean anything anymore to so many people. Doing the right thing these days has a different meaning to so many people. Want to report Welfare fraud? Taxes keep going up, sucking those tax payers of more money to support all the many abusers. Welfare was supposed to be designed to help people for a short time so they can get on their feet. I have noticed that even if you are never aware of who is on welfare, you can see the signs and take a good guess. These people miss a lot of work (if they work). For those who receive housing assistance have other's living in their household that ARE NOT supposed to be there. Where are the investigators! Where are those citizens who know this is going on and DON'T report it? It is easier to NOT get involved. Until the honest hard working citizens start taking a stand and report the abusers, this will continue to be out of control. |
