Family of George Theodore Steubing There is alot to this page and if you are on dial up, it may be slow opening this page.
Photos - no names are on the back of the photos but were in the possession of Ada Gerfers Steubing. Photos donated by Larry G.
Research
U.S. Civil War Soldiers, 1861-1865
Apparently the Steubing's played an important role in the Bexar Co., TX area. There is a Steubing Ranch as well as several schools and a street named after the Steubing's.

Photo courtesy of Larry G. - this may be Ada Gerfers Steubing with brother Richard and cousin Peter. Theory only. Many photos that Larry has does not have anything written to identify anyone. Larry G. is not related to the Gerfer's or Steubing's. He has an interest in Old Dance Halls. He purchased alot of photos and believes these were part of Ada Gerfers Steubing's possessions. Larry would like to see these old photos in the possession of Ada and George Steubing's descendants. Letter courtesy of Larry G. It may have clues to the parents of George Theodore Steubing. This letter is from his sister Eddie and mentions another sister Elsie as well as several times refers to George as Archie. His sister Eddie was in Galveston, TX in 1914.
Looks like the lady on the left could be the same person as the photo below right. It is clear that the man in both top photos is the same person. Are they Steubing's or Gerfers'?
More photos courtesy of Larry G. The group with children is probably George, Ada, Edna and Charles Steubing.
