Our Spirit Here's our ghost story. We bought a nice manufactured home with an addition built onto it back in Mar. 1995. We live in Houston, Texas. Our daughter, her son and husband lived with us. We also had a handicapped friend move to help him out. We met a friend who was into the paranormal and came to visit one evening. He told us he could sense something in our home. It wasn't until this visit that we all would talk about this spirit that lived with us. Or did we live with him? He is a nice spirit with a sense of humor. We call him Edward because we all had this name placed in our minds by the spirit. He has been seen walking through closed doors. He has turned on the TV when we knew we turned it off when we went to bed. Our daughter and our friend had TV's in their bedrooms, so they would not get up in the middle of the night to watch the TV in the living room and then leave it on. The living room was next to the master bedroom. The living room and master bedroom was the addition that was built on about 3/4 the length of the manufactured home. It was a huge space. When talking to neighbors, we learned a man that lived here did die. He built the addition by himself and was quite proud of himself. The TV remote has been seen floating in the air and channels were being changed on the TV. My youngest sister did not believe our story until she came over to help us when our home was flooded during Tropical Storm Allison. Being it was so hot and the mold was so strong, all the people that came over remained outside. My sister had left her purse inside and went in to get it to pay for some cold drinks that someone was going to the store for. She came out extremely nervous and scared. She told us a man was in the house. We went inside but found no one. There was a front and back door. We were all outside by the front door and no one would get by us without being noticed. The back door was locked. No one could get in the windows. They were old fashioned mobile home windows as this was an older built home. We asked her to describe this man and we knew it was Edward. Sometimes Edward can be seen plain as day as a regular person. He wears dark pants and sometimes a dark shirt and other times a white shirt. He is about 5'6 with a small to medium build. He appears to be hispanic. Sometimes we may just see him as a transparent figure and other times just a dark silhouette. We thought maybe he left when we tore down the old home and moved a new one on our lot. He doesn't appear as regularly now as he used to, but he is still here with us. We don't think about him much unless someone brings him up or something weird happens. I was taking some pictures to send to my oldest sister and for insurance purposes on Nov. 12, 2006. I downloaded the pics from my Olympus Camedia D-535 Digital camera (3.2 Megapixel). I did use the flash. I took pics of my kitchen, dining room, living room and computer area (part of living room). I then took pics of the master bedroom. I was looking at them on my computer, trying to make a slide show. When I got to the bedroom pics, I saw all these ORBS. I told my youngest sister about them so she asked if I would send them to her in an email. We talked on the phone as she was looking at the pics. and of course we were freaking out.
I have read that these orbs could be caused by dust particles or some other reason. I guess it is a matter of what a person wants to believe. I have had people tell me I should contact someone to come over and verify if we have a spirit. I know we do. We are average people who do not use drugs and rarely drink alcohol. We like to believe we are level headed and normal. Perhaps it would be interesting to learn more about Edward. What do you think? Email I shared these pics with other people and they saw a face of a dog in the orb on the bottom right of the dresser mirror. I sent some pics and this story to some online ghost hunter sites. Maybe someone can tell me what they think.
