Nikolas Scott Bass

Our Grandson - Our First Grand Child

Nikolas is the son of our daughter, Elizabeth Gail.  Below are some pics of Nikolas over the years.  He is growing to be a fine young man.  He is receiving love and care from his mother and his step-father, Mike.  Nikolas will be 16 on his birthday in Sep. 2008.

Nikolas does his part to help around the house with daily and weekly chores.  He is enjoying his new home in Dayton.  He actively spends time with his grandmother Renee (his father's mother) and his step-Grandfather Jimmy "Poppy" (Renee's ex-husband) as well as Grandparents from his mother's side of the family.  He is polite and caring.  He's an extraordinary young man, far from typical for his age.  He receives a lot of attention and his parents care about his future, so discipline is being taught in his best interest.  He enjoys the outdoors and doing things with the "guys" in his life.   He has been involved in sports in school.  He is an artist and enjoys video games.  He makes us laugh when he talks with a British accent, which he is very good at doing.  Nikolas has a guitar and has been learning to play.

While on a trip to South Carolina in 2003 to celebrate his 2nd cousins graduation from Army Basic Training, he was interviewed by an Editor for the Augusta, Georgia  newspaper.  He was doing our video taping in the town that I was born in.  The editor was quite impressed with Nikolas.  Nikolas' picture and an article about him was published in the newspaper.
