Served in WWII, the Korean War and still in the military during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated military man.

Before his death, he owned Archie's Mobile Home Services. He was a carpenter, plumber, painter, electrician, mechanic and all around fix-it man.

His death was sudden. His high blood pressure was controlled by medications. One month prior to his death, his usual doctor retired and the new doctor took him off all his meds. He had been treated at Wilford Hall Medical Center in (USAF) San Antonio, TX

Thelma Wehmeyer Bannon entered into rest on Sunday, December 7, 2003 after losing her battle to lung cancer at 72 years young.

She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Wehmeyer.

She is survived by three sons, Clarence Lee Wehmeyer of Austin, Darren Wehmeyer and Kenny Wehmeyer, both of San Antonio; three daughters, Wanda Wayne of Canyon Lake, Brenda Hughes of Beeville, and Stephanie Beasey of Cedar Park; three granddaughters, one great granddaughter; and sisters, Ruth Wehmeier of Corpus Christi and Margaret Leonard of San Antonio.
