He married Madeline PARENTEAU. She was born Abt. 1728. Notes for Isaac (LEFFEW) LEFEBURE: There is no proof that this is the father of Stephen. Isaac Lefebure landed in Manakin Town VA. He was a French Hugenot and married a lady by the name of Madeline Parenteau. He came on the ship "Peter and Anthony" and according to Brock the name is now rendered Leffew and Leffue and about ten other spellings, Rebecca Quigly was dau, of Thomas and Sarah. Probably a Huguenot,christians who were forced to flee their homelands due to their religious beliefs. When he arrived in the US, he met and married the daughter of a Cherokee Indian. The Leffew's owned many acres of land in NC as land sales record. Elizabeth would have been 1/2 Cherokee Indian. No last name for her mother has been found. The Leffew's migrated to TN except for Elizabeth. Roane and Grainger Co.s and into KY.
