Azariah M. Merrell born about 1819 and died Dec. 2, 1896.  Married to Susan Ann Turner.  He was the son of William S. and Sara (Brown) Merrell.  Azariah had one known brother, James (or John) William Merrell.

Writing on photo shows Mrs. A. M. Merrel.  This is probably Susan Ann Turner, wife of Azariah M. Merrell.  She was born about 1820 and died between 1900 - 1910 in Douglas Co., IL

I do not know how Russ and Ben Bryant connect into the family.  There are only 2 Bryant females in Douglas Co., IL in 1880.  There are many Bryant's throughout IL in 1880.  I really have no way of knowing who they are related to.  I have been unable to connect these families to Azariah Merrill or his wife Susan Ann Turner.  If anyone can offer a clue, it would be appreciated.
